Week 12 Bold Predictions
With the NFL regular season coming to an end, I wanted to get back into releasing my weekly bold predictions for the week. If they pan out, I look like a genius! If they miss, it was a bold call right? It's a win win over here! With that being said, let's get bold!
1) The Cincinnati Bengals get the W-
For those of you that didn't leave the site after that prediction, I thank you. The Pittsburgh Steelers offense has underperformed all year and now they travel to Cincy without James Conner and Juju Smith-Schuster, who were both ruled out with concussions. If I'm the Bengals, the gameplan is to feed stud RB Joe Mixon and avoid throwing attempts from Ryan Finley. Mixon is currently bouncing back after a slow start to the season, racking up 100 total yards in each of the last 2 games. Give him 30 touches against the Steelers and hope he falls into the endzone. Final score- 13-10. Just saying, the Bengals ML is +250.....
2) Odell Beckham Jr Finishes as the WR1 on the week-
The headline might not seem as bold, but it really is considering the season he is having. Odell is currently primed for strong finish to the 2019 season, now seeing 10+ targets in each of the last 2 games. The Miami Dolphins are allowing the 2nd most air yards per target and they have the 4th highest rate in the NFL for deep receptions. It's worth noting that 8 different WR's have finished as WR1's against the Miami Dolphins this year. With Xavien Howard out, Odell will match up with Ken Crawley and Nik Needham throughout this game, which will be his easiest matchup of the season.
3) Curtis Samuel GOES OFF-
Curtis Samuel is my ride or die this week! Did you guys know that Curtis Samuel ranks 6th in air yards? The WR's in front of him include Mike Evans, Julio Jones, Kenny Golladay, Keenan Allen, and John Brown. A stat brought to my attention is that he averages 18.1 YPC in domes compared to an 11.2 YPC in outside stadiums. Samuel just so happen to be traveling to New Orleans to play in the Saints dome. Marcus Lattimore is expected to play and you would think that he would be lined up with D.J. Moore right? That would have Samuel line up with Eli Apple, whom Samuel burned in 2018 for a 53 yard TD last year.... 120+ yards and a TD is my prediction.
4) James White Records Double Digit Receptions-
James White is in a volume based spot this week as the New England Patriots are very thin on offense this week. Julian Edelman is Questionable (as always, he's expected to play), Mohamed Sanu is not expected to play with an ankle injury, and Phillip Dorsett is not expected to play, due to dealing with a concussion. Enter James White who is 4th in the league for RB's with receiving yards and was the snap leader last week over Sony Michel and Rex Burkhead. The Cowboys have struggled against receiving backs this year as well.
