Sundays MVPs - Week 4
After a fairly boring week of games, I will be reviewing the fantasy MVPs from each team.
Baltimore Ravens @ Washington Football Team
Ravens: Mark Andrews - 20.7 PPR Points
After a pair of bad weeks for Andrews, he bounced back against a formidable WFT defense that has been susceptible to tight ends this season. He made a tough catch over Jean Pierre Louis to secure his first touchdown.
WFT: Antonio Gibson - 22.8 PPR Points
The Gibson coming out party officially occurred Sunday at 1 PM ET. Turner lined Gibspm up everywhere: in the backfield, slot and out wide. He caught 4 balls for 82 receptions and ran for 46 yards and a touchdown against a great Ravens defense.
Jacksonville Jaguars @ Cincinnati Bengals
Jaguars: DJ Chark - 29.5 PPR Points
The Chark coming out party officially occurred as well Sunday at 1 PM ET. He finally outshined Leviska Shenault and looked like the true number one receiver for the Jaguars. This Jags offense is looking potent.
Bengals: Joe Mixon - 42.1 PPR Points
What a way to break out. After looking like the second biggest bust, behind Kenyan Drake, he broke out in a big way with 151 rushing yards and two touchdowns along with 30 receiving yards and 1 touchdown. Zac Taylor finally realized how to utilize Mixon.
Cleveland Browns @ Dallas Cowboys
Browns: Odell Beckham - 38.4 PPR Points
Odell turned back the clock and had a vintage performance. His 50-yard touchdown run to seal the game was nothing short of spectacular as it was a play that should've resulted in a 10-yard loss.
Cowboys: Amari Cooper - 33.4 PPR Points
Cooper has been surprisingly consistent this year, especially on the road, and with his big boom weeks, this makes him one of the better receivers for fantasy. He torched Denzel Ward all day and is looking like a PPR beast through weeks.
New Orlean Saints @ Detriot Lions
Saints: Tre'Quan Smith - 21.4 PPR Points
Smith is what everybody thought Sanders would be with Thomas out. He secured all 4 targets and took two of them to the house. In likely his final week being fantasy relevant, he came up huge for fantasy owners.
Lions: Kenny Golladay - 16.2 PPR Points
Other than Stafford, the Lions offense was fairly disappointing for fantasy, Golladay has been a WR1 since his return putting up 17.2 and 16.2 points in hard matchups against Patrick Peterson and Marshon Lattimore
Seattle Seahawks @ Miami Dolphins
Seahawks: Chris Carson - 25 PPR Points
Carson is looking like a steal at his ADP, but he suffered an injury late in the game against the Dolphins. Even though the Seahawks have been airing the ball out, Carson has been dominant on the ground and it showed with 2 touchdowns with 80 yards rushing.
Dolphin: Devante Parker - 21 PPR Points
Parker took over Week 4 as Fitzpatrick and Parker finally looked like they were on the same page. 10 receptions for 110 yards against a terrible Seahawks defense is a promising going forward for Parker owners considering the looks other Dolphins receivers got.
Los Angeles Chargers @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Chargers: Justin Herbert - 23 Points
Herbert looks amazing in the three games he started. This Chargers team has a bright future going forward. He shined against a great Tampa secondary.
Buccaneers: Tom Brady - 32.46 Points
Brady showed the NFL he still has a lot left in the tank. Turned back the clock in a vintage 5 touchdown performance and he bounced back after a terrible pick 6.
Arizona Cardinals @ Carolina Panthers
Cardinals: Kyler Murray - 23.12 Points
This was a bad week for Murray and he still put up great numbers for fantasy. He threw for only 133 yards but had three touchdowns and 78 yards rushing. He has a safe floor due to his rushing numbers and I don't expect these low passing numbers again from Kyler Murray.
Panthers: Teddy Bridgewater - 26.24 Points
Bridgewater outplayed Murray, who thought those words would ever come out of someone's mouth. He threw for two touchdowns and ran for one more, making the Cardinals defense look silly.
Minnesota Vikings @ Houston Texans
Vikings: Dalvin Cook - 28.6 PPR Points
Cook has been the best fantasy back thus far scoring over 20 points in three of four games, while also losing some snaps to Mattison, which is a scary sight considering he isn't a full workhorse per se. He made the Texans defense look like a JV team en route to the Vikings first win.
Texans: Will Fuller - 22.8 PPR Points
When Fuller is healthy, he is a low-end WR1. With the Texans playing from behind in the majority of their games, Fuller will get a lot of looks, it just comes down to a matter if he can stay healthy.
New York Giants @ Los Angeles Rams
This Giants offense is horrendous. They have scored three touchdowns in four weeks. Given they have played some tough defenses, but for fantasy, you cannot trust any players as of now.
Rams: Cooper Kupp - 17.7 PPR Points
Kupp saved the Rams from an upset with a 55-yard touchdown late in the fourth quarter, which also saved his fantasy owners from a sub 5 points performance.
Indianapolis Colts @ Chicago Bears
Even though the Colts won, nobody played well for fantasy purposes. Taylor got 8.9 Points and Mo Alie Cox had 8.3 Points. Just overall an underwhelming fantasy week for the Colts.
Bears: Allen Robinson - 23.1 PPR Points
Robinson retains his WR1 status with Nick Foles at quarterback. Although the offense was underwhelming, Robinson was the one bright spot, breaking 100 yards receiving and scoring 1 touchdown as well.
Buffalo Bills @ Las Vegas Raiders
Bills: Stefon Diggs - 17.5 PPR Points
Diggs and Allen have been one of the most deadly duos this season. This Bills receiving core is potent and at the helm of it is Stefon Diggs. He torched the Raiders including a big 40-yard grab to seal the game late.
Raiders: Darren Waller - 15.8 PPR Points
Waller had 9 receptions for 88 yards and if not for a fumble, he may have broken 18 points. After a horrendous week 3, he bounced back for fantasy owners, and with Ruggs and Edwards still battling injuries, he's a TE1.
Philadelphia Eagles @ San Francisco 49ers
Eagles: Eagles D/ST - 14 Points
Two picks and a fumble recovered for this Eagles defense that has struggled in the past weeks. A late pick-six to seal the game put them over the hump as the highest-scoring defense this week.
49ers: George Kittle - 40.1 PPR Points
What a way to announce your return. No Jimmy, No problem. 15 receptions for 183 yards and 1 touchdown. Wow. I had to play against him in two leagues and it's safe to say it didn't end well.
